The Cyclades

The Cyclades

The most popular of the Aegean islands, the Cyclades form a circle around the sacred shores of Delos and are ideally situated for island hopping. They are predominantly rocky and arid with breathtaking scenery, and epitomise the picture postcard image of Greece with stunning white buildings offset by bright blue church domes perched above aquamarine waters.

From the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos, with its enchanting town dotted with chic boutiques, to majestic Santorini and the unique, strange white rock formations of Milos, each island reflects its own unique individuality and charm.

Athens to Syros

Day 1
Athens to Kea
(40 Nautical Miles)

Join your yacht in the oldest inhabited city in the world, Athens, and cruise to the mountainous island of Kea where vines and fruit trees rung right down to the sea and open out into pretty little bays. On the western side of the island is Agios Nikolaos Bay, and deep within it the port of Korissia reputedly the safest natural harbour in the Mediterranean.

Day 2
Kea to Sifnos
(40 Nautical Miles)

Cruise past the islands of Kithnos and Serifos en route to the attractive port of Kamares on Sifnos. Explore the island's typical Cycladic landscape, dotted with white churches and chapels and numerous sandy beaches. Combine a peaceful island existence with a lively nightlife.

Day 3
Sifnos to Folegandros to Santorini
(55 Nautical Miles)

Anchor off the fashionable island of Folegandros, known as the 'Island of Peace' on account of its relaxing atmosphere, and indulge in a leisurely lunch. Later, cruise on to the volcanic island of Santorini and enjoy a spectacular sunset from the town of La.

Day 4
Santorini
(10 Nautical Miles)

Cruise around Santorini's satellite island of Thirassia Palea and Nea Kameni for superior and secluded beaches, before dinner at the island's most idyllically appointed restaurant, Ambrosia, whose balcony has the best sunset view of the island.

Day 5
Santorini to Ios
(22 Nautical Miles)

Cruise along the coastline of Ios, adorned with small coves, countless chapels, olive trees and vineyards.

Day 6
Ios to Amorgos
(36 Nautical Miles)

Enjoy an early morning swim at Meganari before cruising to the quiet island of Amorgos. Located at the most easterly point of the Cyclades, explore the typically Cycladic main town of Hora, nestled among the cliffs.

Day 7
Amorgos to Paros to Mykonos
(54 Nautical Miles)

After a leisurely cruise, spend the morning in Naoussa Bay, Paros, a superb location for windsurfing, before moving on to the cosmopolitan Greek Island of Mykonos and the colourful harbour of Hora and take in its plethora of hip bars and restaurants. For the quieter bars, visit Mykonos Town, with its maze of alleys whitewashed streets and impressive churches.

Days 8 & 9
Mykonos to Delos to Syros
(28 Nautical Miles)

Discover the neighbouring uninhabited island of Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo and now the site of ancient Greek marble ruins. Anchor overnight in the bustling harbour of Ermoupoli, Syros, the capital of the Cyclades. Cruise overnight to Athens.
